This is an original, rolled, Japanese two-panel theatrical movie poster from 1965 for Akutô starring Nobuko Otowa, Kyoko Kishida, Eitaro Ozawa, Isao Kimura, and Jukichi Uno. Kaneto Shindo directed the Japanese historical drama released in the United States as The Conquest.
The Tatekan-style poster measures 20” x 57” and was printed in two sections designed to overlap. It has never been folded and is in very good condition with a few areas of minor edge wear and creasing from handling. It has never been folded.
Please look closely at the photo(this is the exact poster you are buying). The black squares in the corners and edges of the poster are magnets and not pins.This very rare and collectible poster, printed in 1965 to promote the Japanese theatrical release of Akutô, is not a reproduction or a reprint.
