This is an original, three-sheet movie poster from 1972 for a theatrical re-release of The Bridge on the River Kwai (1958). The classic World War II film stars William Holden, Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins, and Sessue Hayakawa. David Lean directed the Academy Award-winning movie.
The poster measures 41” x 81” and is in very good condition with some mini staple holes around the edges from theatrical display. It was printed in two sections designed to overlap. It was folded at the time of printing. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
Please look closely at the photo as this is the exact poster you are buying. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
