This is an original, French grande theatrical movie poster from 1968 for the initial, Cinerama theatrical release of 2001: A Space Odyssey starring Gary Lockwood, Keir Dullea, William Sylvester, Daniel Richter, Leonard Rossiter, Robert Beatty and Douglas Rain. Stanley Kubrick directed the film. Bob McCall is the artist for the poster.
The poster measures 47" x 63" and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good condition prior to linen-backing and restoration with minor wear along some of the the folds and a tiny bit of paper loss at the cross-folds. It was folded at the time of printing but the fold lines are much less visible after linen-backing.
Please look closely at the photos (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not a stock image. The black squares in the corners of the poster are magnets and not pins.
