This is an original, Style D one-sheet movie poster from 1979 for Battlestar Galactica starring Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict and Lorne Greene. The movie was directed by Richard A. Colla. Robert Tanenbaum is the artist for the poster.
The film was released internationally in theaters in 1978 but aired originally on American television as a three hour pilot for the Battlestar Galactica television series. Universal Studios later released the film in U.S. theaters on May 18, 1979.
The poster measures 27" x 41" and is in very good to excellent condition. It was folded at the time of printing and there's slight creasing along the top, vertical fold line from being folded slightly off center.Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.
