This is an original, linen-backed, Australian daybill movie poster from 1966 for a theatrical re-release of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958) starring Elizabeth Taylor, Paul Newman, Burl Ives, Jack Carson and Judith Anderson. Richard Brooks directed the classic film based on the play by Tennessee Williams.
The poster measures 13.25” x 30” and has been linen-backed for long-term preservation and display. The poster was in very good to excellent condition prior to backing with minimal wear from handling and storage. It was folded at the time of printing but the folds are less noticeable after linen-backing. The poster is stored flat and will be rolled for shipping in a rigid, tube mailer.
