Thornton Freeland directed the musical military drama. Roger Soubie is the artist for the poster.

Very few pre-World War II French movie posters still exist as nearly all were used/destroyed during World War II due to paper shortages. This poster is an extremely rare, surviving poster from that era.

The poster measures 47.25" x 62.75" and is in very good condition with minor edge wear. It was folded at the time of printing and there are a few, small tears and wear at some of the cross-folds and fold lines from long term storage. Most folds flatten out nicely for framing and are often desirable for vintage, collectible movie posters.

Please look closely at the photo (this is the exact poster you are buying). It is not cropped or a stock image.

This extremely rare and collectible poster, printed in 1938 to promote the French theatrical release of Jericho, is not a reproduction.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY (COA) INCLUDED

Year poster printed: 1938 (first theatrical release)
Country: France
Size: 47.25 in x 62 .75 in (120 cm x 159 cm)
Artist: Roger Soubie

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1416/8662/files/jericho_1938_french_original_film_art_a.webp?v=1790980307
